Made by people.
Maybe you.
The house is small and grows piece by piece. Here is who we are looking for, what we pay attention to, and where to send your work. Commissioned work is paid, at a rate agreed before you start.
Writers
Long reads for the Magazine; reports and explainers for the Newsroom. Paid per piece, agreed before commissioning. Bring a question you can answer with sources, not a topic.
Sales partners
Introduce owner-run businesses to the Agency and look after the relationship. Half of the first month's retainer as a signing bonus, then 10% a month while you manage the client, paid on cash collected, under a written agreement.
Illustrators and film makers
Flat shapes, ink lines, real places and real people. Picture books, short films for children, documentaries, drawn explainers and the Agency's film days. Send a link to work you made, not a CV.
Something else
Teachers who want to use the lessons, editors, translators, fact-checkers, a library that needs a friend. Tell us what you do and what you would like to do with us.
Stay in touch
One letter when
something opens.
An email when a division opens its doors: the Newsroom's first edition, Issue 01 of the Magazine, the first lessons. Nothing else, and you can leave any time.
